At e-conomic, we believe that everyone within the organization should be acquainted with our company’s very highest priority: our customers.
That’s why last week, I sat down with e-conomic’s Online Manager Tue, and we spent the day making welcome calls to new e-conomic customers (Undercover Boss anyone?).
As I’ve said before – it’s not by coincidence that the word “fun” is part of e-conomic’s mission statement. Fun is essential for everything, and over all I must say that this experience was insightful, enriching – and fun!

A continuing event
Tue and I has a great time calling customers, and overall we had a very positive experience being on the phone hotline. We were educated and guided by some of e-conomic’s incredible support team – thank you to Charlotte, Gurjap and Asma for your help!
We learned many new things by speaking directly with the very people that we are in fact all working so hard for every single day, and this was an eye-opening experience for us.
Note to CEOs out there – when was the last time you talked directly to your customers?!
To hear their positive attitude and interest in our accounting system and service was exciting and empowering. I think it is very important that all of the employees in e-conomic have the chance to reach out to our customers – not only our phone support staff.
Therefore, we will be asking all of our non-support employees to spend time on the phone hotline for a day. I believe that this will give them further insight into who exactly we are delivering our product and service to – and what we can do even more of to make them happier.

When searching for help or support from a company that you work with, do you often find yourself looking for their “Contact us” webpage instead of their FAQ or help articles?
If so – you’re not alone! In many cases it can be difficult to find the information that you need, and picking up the phone can be the fastest way to explain your problem and find proper assistance.
Because of this, for some time the phrase “service and support” was synonymous with “telephone hotline” at e-conomic… but that has long since changed!
The downsides of telephone support
Through direct contact with our customers, we soon realized some of the negative aspects of telephone support:
- It isn’t scalable: An employee can only support one person at a time on the phone.
- It has limited hours: Especially if prices are to be kept at a reasonable level.
Therefore, in addition to the telephone support offered at e-conomic, we added loads of online, 24/7 support options that we work hard to keep updated so you’ll always be able to find help! Read the rest of this entry »

e-conomic is proud to announce that we now offer more than 100 help videos in English!
We want to guarantee that our customers can find clear and descriptive help information about the e-conomic accounting system, 24/7. Our help videos greatly contribute towards accomplishing this goal!
In total, we now have more than 770 e-conomic help videos in nine different languages!
A new function, a new video
Our newest help video (no. 110!) shows you how you can now change your base currency when setting up your e-conomic application.
Now you can quickly and easily change your base currency in e-conomic to the currency that your business works with – whether it be US dollars or Japanese yen!

The best accounting program certainly deserves the best customer support. e-conomic is a “Software-as-a-Service” product, and the term service is essential in our product philosophy.

Even during a fire alarm, your online support takes no breaks
Our newly updated support section emphasizes e-conomic’s efforts to focus mostly on Online Support. Although we maintain our offline help, these are available during limited hours and we are hopeful that our wide range of online tools will be more than sufficient to serve our customers.
Since we have recently expanded our range of online support options, it was time to reflect those changes in our support section. A new approach to customer support discusses our different help functions.

Did you know that our comprehensive list of online help videos now contains over 70 youtube movie clips for the benefit of all English-speaking customers?
In order to provide you with the full customer support experience, we have posted youtube help videos that cover anything from creating a sales invoice to importing your bank statements. The help videos provide a step-by-step visual and audio guide to performing various tasks within the e-conomic application.
As complete as our list of online videos is, there is a very real possibility that we have missed an explanation of something that would benefit you! Feel free to suggest a topic and we will make sure your needs are not missed.

A user-driven Forum created for the purpose of providing more support has been opened in Danish.
Participants may use the forum to share ideas, tips, suggestions and more which creates a self-engineered help tool.
e-conomic denmark will be monitoring the content so that we maintain the ability to contribute.

Is the accounting terminology proving to be confusing? Are you not familiar with some of the terms or statements? You’re definitely not the only one, so never fear, the dictionary is here.
Our dictionary of Accounting Terms attempts to tackle accounting/finance terms that may not be second-nature to many of you. Currently, there are just about 30 terms in the dictionary, and we will keep updating it with new words on a regular basis.
Take a look and let us know if you think it is helpful at all, where we can be clearer, what is redundant, and if there are any terms you would like us to include.
