As you may have noticed from the recent activity on our Facebook page and website, e-conomic is currently throwing a celebration because we will soon have 33,333 active customers using e-conomic as the back-bone of their financial accounting!
A magic number
33,333 is 1/3 of our mission to have 100,000 companies using e-conomic by 2013. We feel that this is cause for celebration, since we are currently ahead of schedule for reaching our mission and continuing to gain momentum every month.
You can find out more about e-conomic’s 33,333 celebration – and our Facebook and photo contests – on our website.

e-conomic photo contest: there are lots of places to use e-conomic!
On the right track
In the last two years, we have more than doubled our number of customers. There are several reasons for this rapid increase in new e-conomic customers.
Many of our 60-70 new customers a day have previously used desktop software such as Microsoft C5 and Navision and at the same time, our strategy in foreign markets is starting to pay off. Furthermore, 25-30% of newly started companies in Denmark now choose e-conomic.
One of the main reasons is that more and more accountants are becoming aware of the benefits of online accounting when trying to increase efficiency and get a more dynamic customer approach.
Join the celebration
e-conomic’s 33,333 Celebration is just one way for us to say thank you to our customers. We’re hosting some fun giveaways with great prizes, and celebrating moving forward towards our company mission.
Please join us in this celebration – after all, we couldn’t have done it without you!

It’s no secret that here at e-conomic we welcome every opportunity to offer support to our customers outside of our phone hotline – that’s why we have more than 1,100 help videos in 8 different languages, a number of online presentation course offerings, and thousands of interactive help wiki articles in our e-copedia.
These features are constantly expanding as we strive to offer an even larger and better online service and support platform – one that is both scalable and available to our customers 24/7.
e-conomic inspires Multidata
One of e-conomic’s close partners, Multidata A/S, has recently been greatly inspired by the numerous online support tools offered by e-conomic and have began utilizing online social media platforms in order to provide better support to their customers.
The Danish newspaper Børsen recently printed an article on e-conomic’s inspirational example.
Contact Center Conference 2011
Next week, e-conomic will present a lecture titled “How to work systematically and successfully with social media in customer service” at the 2011 Contact Center Conference in Copenhagen and share our experience using social media platforms.
We will discuss how social media has changed the online business industry, how the word service is the most important part of “Software as a Service”, how e-conomic applied social media at an early stage and how we continue to utilize social media platforms today.
Share your thoughts
Do you use – and do you like using – e-conomic’s online support services? Are there any other online medias that you would like to see us branch into?
Please share your opinion here in the comments.

This morning we released a new package system improvements for the e-conomic accounting software. Here are a few of the main features:
Bulk product deletion
It is now possible to mass delete products, making it easy to remove unused products from your product list. This can especially useful in the case of e.g. an incorrect product list import.

A view of the new “Delete or bar products” functionality in e-conomic
Further Stock Management improvements
Continuing our efforts to improve the e-conomic Stock Management add-on module this year, it is now possible to convert one or more customer orders to a supplier order.
This improvement will be especially helpful for those e-conomic users who order products based on the orders that they receive from their own customers, as it can save them both time and reduce errors on supplier orders!
More enhancements
These are just two of the more than ten enhancements and updates debuting in this weeks’ e-conomic Market Package. You can see the rest of the Market Package on the e-conomic website.
And remember – if there are features or functionality that you’re missing in e-conomic, you can always share your thoughts with us.

You ask, and e-conomic delivers!
By popular demand – VAT code rounding
This morning e-conomic rolled out new functionality that will result in more precise VAT calculation.
Invoice VAT is now rounded per VAT code, as opposed to being rounded per invoice line as it was previously. This means that rounding is done to total VAT amounts instead of the VAT amount on each line – resulting in more precise VAT calculations and fewer discrepencies.

As I hoped it would be, January, 2011 has been one of the best months ever at e-conomic, and resulted in new records in almost all e-conomic countries.
A superb month
All in all, in January e-conomic experienced the most online sign-ups ever, the most
accountant and bookkeeper sign-ups ever, and the most trials ever taken.
I am also pleased to share that on our journey to have 100,000 companies using e-conomic by 2013, we are currently more than 1,000 customers ahead of schedule!
Churn rate down for the first time since 2008
Furthermore, I am extremely happy to share that January brought the lowest churn rate in more than two years.
Since the majority of our churn comes from companies closing down and going out of business, I hope that this is the sign we all have been hoping for – that the financial crisis is finally behind us.
Thank you and welcome!
Welcome to all of the new companies and administrators that have joined us in this new year, and thank you to our longtime clients who trust e-conomic with their accounting each and every day!
I look forward to seeing what this year will bring – hopefully only more good news!
Have a great weekend
